The History of Jacks House

Jack’s House was established in 2003 by the Almer family in honor of Jack O. Almer, who had a long-standing love for bowling. Jack, along with his wife Shirley, began their journey in the bowling industry back in 1982 when they purchased Wadena Lanes in Wadena, Minnesota. Over the years, the family expanded their bowling business and upgraded facilities, eventually creating Jack’s House in Brainerd.

Jack’s House has grown into a local favorite for both casual bowlers and league players. The facility now features 24 state-of-the-art lanes, an arcade, and a banquet room for events. While Jack and Shirley have passed on, their legacy of fun and community continues through their family, who remain dedicated to keeping Jack’s vision alive by providing a welcoming and enjoyable bowling experience for everyone.
